Q : What causes hair loss ?

A : With the hormonal changes of aging comes a decrease in the number of active hair follicles. Though this is an essentially universal change in all of us, a number of hormonal, genetic or disease states make some of us lose hair earlier in life.

The most common cause of hair loss is known as androgenetic alopecia or pattern baldness (men and female).

Q : Why using a shampoo or gel product is not as effective as a natural product that you take in a capsule ?

A : Hair gels are concentration of treatment lotion that are applied on a dry scalp. This kind of product is to be used in conjunction with a shampoo and a treatment lotion. But the effect depends on the patient's absorption capability of the scalp skin and usually circulation on a bald scalp is poor, so the lotion is wasted and the expected results are not achieved.

Q : What causes gray hair and how does Hair 4 Life cure it ?

A : Hair typically turns gray as a result of aging. Pigment in the hair shaft comes from special cells at the root (base) of the hair. These cells are genetically programmed to make a certain amount of pigment (melanin) at specific ages. At some point in the aging process, these cells make less and less pigment until the hair has very little pigment. At the end, white hair has no more pigment.

Hair 4 Life works in two ways at the pigment level to prevent gray hair while revitalizing dead hair strands to produce natural hair color. Hair color is produced by a variety of human pigments, most notably, melanin. Melanin is produced by melanocytes that are found within the layers of the hair follicle.

When hair is produced by the reproduction of the epithelial cells, newly produced melanin accumulates in the cells and colors the hair itself as it emerges from the follicle. Hair 4 Life also prevents male pattern baldness by blocking increased levels of DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT is one of the hormones that is responsible for male development and is a major contributor in hair loss, as men get older. DHT shrinks the hair follicle until it no longer produces visible hair. By blocking DHT, hair loss is stopped and the hair growth process is restored again. Not all hair respond in the same way or at the same time. So the graying process is usually is gradual one.
